A "SEMI-TRUE STORY" FROM: JIMMY BUFFETT
This is the only man who "KNOW'S WHAT THE HOKEY POKEY IS REALLY ALL ABOUT."
Jay spent Christmas on "CHRISTMAS ISLAND." He has met up with a chum for a bottle of rum and a laugh.  Jay knows...."IF WE COULDN'T LAUGH WE WOULD ALL GO INSANE."
He would not want us to "STOP THE CARNIVAL" Just because he had to take "ANOTHER ROAD." He knows we "MISS HIM SO BADLY." He's "IN THE SHELTER."  He wants us all to know "IT'S BEEN A LOVELY CRUISE."
To the man who was "GROWING OLDER, BUT NOT UP."  The man with a "SCHOOL BOY HEART."  He never wanted to be "ONE OF THE PEOPLE OUR PARENTS WARNED US ABOUT."  He wanted to be known as a "JOLLY MON."
In his last days, you may have noticed his "PENCIL THIN MUSTACHE." Or his sailor's legs.  How our "PIRATE LOOKED AT FORTY."
He preferred his weekends on a "SALTY PIECE OF LAND" near that "ONE PARTICULAR HARBOUR."  He liked being in his bare feet reading "THE COCONUT TELEGRAPH" sipping on a "BOAT DRINK" with his "BROWN EYED GIRL."  He was always dreaming of "THAT BEACH HOUSE ON THE MOON."  It was always about the water.
"COME MONDAY"...He had his hush puppies on.  Back to reality dealing with life's "FRUITCAKES."  This never bothered Jay because it was always "FIVE O'CLOCK SOMEWHERE."
Jay is now in heaven....It's in the TROPICS somewhere between the Port of Indecision and Southwest of Disorder, but no parallels of latitude or longitude mark the spot exactly.  You don't have to be a navigator to get there. Palm trees provide the camouflage.  Ocean breezes bring the seaplanes and sailboats, tourists and travelers.  Passports are not required.  Island music rules.  No waiting lines for anything.  There is a beach and a thatched roof bar perched on the edge of a turquoise sea where you can always find a barstool.  There are lots of lies and loads of stories.  Where is heaven?

"IT'S BEEN A LOVELY CRUISE"
He's the reason for our efforts, our laughter, our tears...
In our hearts, we'll forever hold him dear.
He was a man of integrity, honesty, and drive.  He never ceased to amaze us with his fun-loving character and outgoing attitude.  He was accepting of all, and appreciated and recognized individual talents.  These characteristics are what made him successful in his industry, not only with his many clients, but his employees too.
We all love him and miss him dearly
This is why we strive for help and recognition in raising funds for cancer research.

We watched Jay go through a horrifying transformation.  There really are no words to describe what he, his family, and friends went through during his fight with Leukemia.

Our hearts ached and still do at the revelation of his mortality at 40.

We miss him so much and because of that, we want to help anyone faced with this hardship in anyway; and as much as we can.

This is what Jay would have wanted.  Please join us in our fight.
He is the reason...
The following is an excerpt of a fitting tribute to Jay, written by a long time friend.
This tournament was envisioned at Jay's Memorial Service by friends and family who love, appreciate and respect him.
